On March 25th, the 540 South Luzon Upgrade and Reconstruction Project, which was constructed by the company, successfully replaced a 300 megawatt main transformer at the South Station and put it into operation smoothly, marking a significant victory at the first critical stage of the project and laying a solid foundation for its overall completion on schedule. To ensure the completion of the main transformer interval renovation within the limited power outage time, the project department focused on the preparation of personnel, materials, and equipment. They communicated deeply with the design unit, developed an efficient and feasible basic renovation plan, strictly implemented the reversed schedule, and actively coordinated with various units. In addition, in strict accordance with relevant safety regulations, they promptly identified and addressed potential hazards involving equipment and personal safety on site, ensuring the safety of work in areas close to live power, and providing strong support for the smooth progress of power transmission work. The 540 South Luzon Upgrade and Reconstruction Project mainly involves the upgrading of two 230 kV stations and one 500 kV station. The company is responsible for dismantling and replacing most of the old primary and secondary equipment within the stations, as well as constructing new main control rooms and relay protection rooms. After the completion of the renovation, the reliability of the equipment in the three stations will be greatly improved, thereby enhancing the stability of the power grid in the South Luzon region.
